Nice products, but delivery was slow

I ordered a few different rice types, including the Madagascar Pink Rice and some Brown Rice Ramen. The quality of everything is really good, and I appreciate that they focus on sustainable options. My only small complaint was shipping; it took about a week and a half to get here, which felt a bit long. The packaging was good though, and everything arrived safely. Overall, a solid choice for specialty rice, just plan ahead for delivery times.

Everything was great

I just wanted to try some new rice so I ordered a Rice Sampler Pack. It came pretty quick, and everything was packaged nicely. The rice all tasted really good too. It was a good experience, I'd probably buy from them again when I need more.

Detailed review of my latest order

I placed an order for their Buckwheat and Mushroom Ramen, along with a few bags of their Organic White Rice. The ordering process was smooth on their website; it was easy to find what I was looking for. Shipping took about 6 business days to reach my location in Arizona, which is pretty standard for ground shipping. Everything was well-packaged in a sturdy box, with no damage to any of the products. I tried the ramen first, and it cooked up perfectly, holding its texture well. The Organic White Rice also cooked beautifully and had a nice, subtle flavor. I've had good experiences with their products before, and this order maintained that quality. If you're looking for high-quality, specialty rice and rice-based products, Lotus Foods is a solid option. Their commitment to organic and sustainable practices is a big plus for me.

Consistent quality, my go-to for rice

I've been buying from Lotus Foods for a while now, mostly their Forbidden Rice and sometimes the Millet and Brown Rice Ramen. This last order was for a couple of the Heat and Eat Rice Pouches, and they were just as good as I've come to expect. The quality is always consistent, and I appreciate that. I've tried other brands but always come back here because their products just taste better and I trust their sourcing. Delivery was prompt, as usual. It's a reliable choice for my pantry staples.

I just got my order of Forbidden Rice Ramen and it's incredible! The texture is perfect and the flavor is just what I wanted. I made it with some fresh veggies and it was a super quick and healthy meal. Definitely buying again and telling everyone about this!

How do the Lotus Foods rice noodles compare to Annie Chun's or Explore Cuisine? Looking for something good for pho nights.

L Lisa F. 1 month ago
I prefer Lotus Foods, honestly. They hold up better and have a nicer texture than Annie Chun's, especially the pho noodles.

Lotus Foods noodles are much better, imo. They don't get mushy as fast. Explore Cuisine is okay but Lotus Foods tastes more like 'real' noodles. My family only eats the Lotus Foods ones now for pho.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a bunch of those Forbidden Rice noodles. How long does shipping usually take to New York City?

C Colin 1 month ago
Mine got to Brooklyn in like 4-5 days last time, pretty quick.

Yeah, I think it's usually less than a week for most of the East Coast, not too bad.

Has anyone tried the bulk rice bags? Wondering if they're a good deal compared to just buying individual smaller bags.

T Tara Patel 3 weeks ago
Oh for sure, the bulk bags are way better value if you eat a lot of rice. Worth it.

G Gwen 2 weeks ago
Yeah, if you compare the price per pound, the bulk options are definitely where the savings are at. Especially if you catch one of their sales.

What's the deal with their returns? If I don't like a product, can I send it back easily?

L Lisa 1 month ago
I returned some stuff once, it was pretty straightforward. Just contact them and they'll walk you through it.

Yeah, returns were easy, did it last month. They're pretty good about it as long as it's within their policy.

Are their products actually organic and fair-trade? I'm trying to be more conscious about where my food comes from.

P Paula 3 weeks ago
Yep, they're big on that. All their stuff I've seen is organic and they talk a lot about fair-trade practices on their site.

Totally legit. They source from farms that use sustainable methods and are certified organic. Pretty good transparency too if you dig a bit on their site.
